Tips for searching
• If you would like to learn about all the possibilities of the new web interface you are working with after logging in to your user account, or if you are just at your wits’ end, utilize the help function.
• If you choose “Yes” for “Adjacency of words?”, you can enter a collocation, e.g. “personal computer”, and the system will understand that you want to look only for files that have the word “computer” NEXT TO the word “personal”.
• In your inquiry it does not matter whether you use upper or lower case letters. For example if you submit the word “computer”, the system will find “computer”, “Computer” and “COMPUTER”.
• You can use logical operators in your search: AND and OR. For example, you can submit (heart OR cardiac) AND surgery if you would like to search for all entries that contain the word heart or cardiac along with the word surgery.
• Use the symbol “?” for locating entries that contain parts of words. “Flower?”, for example, will look for entries that contain the words “flower”, “flowering”, “flowery”, etc. Another example, “?ology” allows you to look for entries containing the words “anthropology”, “archaeology”, “psychology”, etc. The symbol “?” also allows you to look for words with a variety of spellings. “Pre?ident”, for example, looks for entries with the words “president” and “prezident”.
