How to register
Registering in person you need to:
– come to Visitors Centre on Ground-level (foyer) and provide your personal data for NTL customer database*
Along to Lending Privileges and Policies the customers in Group Ac/ with extended rights has to present document(s) as proof their current job position at university/ college or at the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic (doctorand´s record book, staff identification card etc.).
– accept new library card resp. provide for recognition already used contactless Mifare or DesDire identification card (ID cards of ČVUT and VŠCHT, ISIC, OpenCard, etc.)
– confirm you have read, and agree to abide by, the Agreement About Terms Of National Technical Library Services Use
– settle registration fee – see Fines and Fees
– settle new library card – see Fines and Fees
New NTL library card in exchange for valid STL library card is free of charge.
* NTL is an administrator preserves the personal data under the terms of the Act No.101/2000 Coll., about Personal Data Protection Act
Who can be a customer
– Citizen of the Czech Republic older than 15 years presents valid identity card with proof of permanent residence or temporary housing in this country. Children and young people 18 and under need a parent´s written permit.
– Citizen of the EU member state, Norway, Island, Liechtenstejn and Switzerland older than 15 years presents valid national identity card or passport.
– Citizen of the third country and citizen without nationality older than 15 years presents valid passport, residence permit or diplomatic card.
– Legal entity presents extract from commercial register or trade licence. Representatives of these entities can visit our library after they present (a) an application with stamp (if it is used), (b) signature of statutary representative, (c) signature of a person who is charged to use circulation and other library services, (d) identity card of competent person/ representative of this legal entity.
