What services can I use with my library card?
As registered customer with a library card you can gain access to the Library and use its facilities, including open access collection, Periodicals Reading Room, carrels, teamwork rooms, AV carrels, computer labs and 24*7 Reading Room.
With your library card you can use all NTL library services including borrowing of the circulating books, serials and other materials. We provide library services along to the National Technical Library Rules including Lending Privileges and Policies. The customers in Group Ac/ (academics, researchers at universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, doctorands) as well as university/ college students, undergraduates, and secondary schools students with any limitations, can book a carrel at the Library.
Library card is not transferable. It may be used only by the person to whom it is issued. Do not lend it to anyone. You need to bring it with you each time you visit the Library.
Where to get a library card and what are the conditions for it?
You can get your library card in the Visitors Centre on Ground-level (foyer) after completed registration in the NTL customer database. Please notify the library of any changes to your name, address, phone number or e-mail so that we can update your personal record.
For library card issue you will pay according to Fines and Fees. Students, the unemployed and disabled pensioners has to prove required claim to reduced fee by beffiting way.
Validity of the library card is limited to a fixed-term (6 or 12 months from date of issue); renewal of the card is possible. After lapse of card validity time the customer loses right to use NTL library services.
What should I do when my library card is lost, stolen or I forget it?
If your library card is lost or stolen, please report it immediately. Our staff will deactivate your card so that it cannot be used. You are responsible for all books checked out on this card until they return back to the Library.

If you forget your library card, you will need to apply for a day visitor´s pass to gain access to the library and its open collections.
