National Library of Technology – your Partner in the World of Hi-Tech & Scientific Information

The National Library of Technology (NTK) is a specialized public library with a unique offering of approximately 300,000 publications freely accessible in the Library's open stacks.


NTK has the largest collection of domestic and international materials from the fields of technology, applied natural and social sciences in the Czech Republic. The entire collection consists of more than 1.2 million volumes; books, journals, scientific treatises, standards, and newspapers, both in print and electronic formats. 


The NTK building also houses the Central Library of ČVUT Prague (Czech Technical University, CTU) and the Information Service
Centre of VŠCHT Prague (Institute of Chemical Technology, ICT). 


Registered NTK customers can access
online databases and other electronic resources. Citizens from countries outside the Czech Republic are allowed to use those resources on the premises.

The National Library of Technology is located on the CTU campus in Prague 6 – Dejvice.
