STEMskiller: Skill Set Map for Mentors of Early Career Researchers
Promotion processes in academia are very different from in commercial settings and are often governed by strict policies, with decisions made by committees. Mentors should provide mentees interested in academic careers with an overview of the promotion process at their institution; if not available, mentees can use to resources below to explore sample promotion process policies for selected universities.
