Completing a doctorate (PhD)

Definition:

A doctoral degree is the primary degree granting early career researchers access to their future academic careers, should they pursue this path. It was historically granted as the degree necessary to conduct university teaching and today commonly involves the writing of a doctoral dissertation (thesis).This section provides mentors with resources they can share with their doctoral students for areas which can be challenging for students to supplement any materials mentors provide to mentees..
