Talks & ShareSpace for PhD+

In collaboration with the Czech Association of Doctoral Researchers (ČAD), NTK Academic Services is launching a new series of events for early career researchers – Talk and ShareSpace for PhD+. The aim is to bring together doctoral candidates and postdocs from different disciplines and institutions in informal sessions to discuss the most topical issues in their studies, research, personal or career development.

The events will take place in the NTK venue and they are free for all, but you do need to register for the one you are interested in.

Do not hesitate to propose your own topic and/or prepare a presentation. Your ideas and contributions are very welcome!

PhD Reform: Expectation and Reality

Have you already heard about the PhD reform in the Czech Republic? Has your institution started implementing the changes? Are you happy with the scope and intention of the reform? Do you want to share your thoughts and discuss them with your peers in a safe environment?

Come join the informal gathering for PhDs on Thursday April 24 from 17:00 in the National Library of Technology (NTK). The meeting is organized by the NTK Academic Services together with the Czech Association of Doctoral Researches (ČAD)

We will touch upon the current PhD reform in the Czech Republic and experiences with its implementation at various universities and workplaces.There will be ample time and space to cover other topics, or to network and exchange views informally according to your preference.

The meeting will take place in the Alexandria Academic Lounge attached to the Café Prostoru in the NTK foyer. You are welcome to come a bit earlier (from 16:00) to enjoy some refreshment before the meeting itself starts at 17:00. Refreshments will be available on site, or you can order independently from the café.

We won’t record this meeting or stream it online. However, the organizers may take photos and publish them on their websites and/or social media pages.
