Application to the NTK Knowledge Transfer Academy
Research Project Lead
The NTK Knowledge Transfer Academy is designed for students, PhD candidates, researchers and other members of research teams who would like to explore the practical application or commercial potential of their research.
You can apply with a specific technology, research result, initial idea for a practical application, or a research area whose potential applications you would like to explore.
At the beginning of the programme, you do not need to have a business plan or prototype, nor do you need to know whether licensing, collaboration with an industry partner, establishing a spin-off company or another transfer pathway is the most appropriate option for your project.
The programme is conducted entirely in English and requires active participation in the in-person modules as well as project work between sessions.
1) This may be a technology, research result, early-stage idea or research area. You do not need to have a clearly defined product or customer at this stage.
2) If you do not know yet, describe which potential applications or areas of use you would like to explore through the Academy.
3) This may include identifying a suitable application, validating user interest, selecting an appropriate transfer pathway, building a team or preparing the project’s next steps.
4) This could be, for example, a student, PhD candidate, colleague from the research team, technology transfer office representative, or someone with a product or commercial role. Short answer is Required if you selected “Yes” in Question 12; optional if you selected “Maybe” and hidden if you selected “No”. The primary applicant remains responsible for the project work and regular participation in the programme. The involvement of an additional team member will be assessed based on their role in the project and the Academy’s capacity.
5) You may provide a link to, for example, your LinkedIn profile, institutional profile, project website, research group or relevant publication.
